About Us

 

Nigerian CSOs Expanding Sustainable Virtual HIV Messaging and Community Monitoring in Rivers State (NICERIVERS) Project is a grant awarded by PEPFAR under Virtual Spaces Intervention and Community Led Monitoring for Priority Populations in Nigeria. The project is implemented by Premium Care Initiative (PCI). 

 

The goal of the project is to increase access to quality, concise, and accurate HIV and health-related messaging for adolescents and young persons (AYP) and key populations (KP) by leveraging virtual spaces and strengthening community-led monitoring effort using electronic platforms to ensure high-quality care for HIV prevention treatment, care and support for AYPs and the priority population.

 

The objectives of NICERIVERS include:
  • Increased access to quality, concise, and accurate HIV and health-related messaging for adolescents and young persons (AYP) and key populations (KP) through various virtual platforms.
  • Improved confidential referrals and linkages between One Stop Shop and health facilities for uptake of HIV prevention, treatment, and other health care services using virtual spaces.
  • Strengthened community-led monitoring efforts among AYP and KP-led groups using electronic platforms to identify challenges, barriers, and gaps in HIV and other health-related service delivery.
The intervention target population are:
  • Adolescents and Young Persons (AYP)
  • Sex Workers (SW),
  • Men who have sex with men (MSM)
  • People who inject drugs (PWID),
  • Transgender people (TG).
Implementing NGOs

Premium Care Initiative (PCI) is an indigenous Nonprofit Non-Governmental Systems Strengthening and Sustainability Organization incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2019. 

 

The organization has 4 Portfolios namely: Health Systems Strengthening, Livelihood Protection, Epidemic Control and Environmental sustainability.

PCI is a direct recipient of the United States President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Virtual Spaces Intervention and Community Led Monitoring for Priority Populations in Nigeria Grant.

 

PCI is a sub-recipient of the United States Centre for Disease Control (U.S. CDC), Delivering Comprehensive and Sustainable HIV/AIDS Clinical and Community

Services to Achieve HIV Epidemic Control in Subnational Units in Nigeria under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

PCI has office locations at FCT Abuja, Rivers State, Delta State, Osun State and Ekiti State.
